Meet Ashley,
PUBLIC HEALTH INTERN GRADUATE
Ashley Scott received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Epidemiology and Disease Control from the University of Texas at San Antonio with the intent to become a pediatrician. But her undergraduate-level classes drew her to focus on the importance of community health. Thus, Ashley completed her Master’s degree in Public Health Epidemiology from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Her interests lie in mental health, food insecurity, and infectious diseases, as she has demonstrated through experience working in those areas. Outside of work, Ashley has many hobbies. But recently, she loves to ride her bike or longboard, practice her flute, solve sudoku puzzles, and read. She also has returned to taking belly dancing lessons for the first time in at least a decade.
