Meet Allison,
PUBLIC HEALTH INTERN
Allison Hoag (she/her) is a Master of Public Health student at Columbia University, where she is studying Sociomedical Sciences with a certificate in Social Determinants of Health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Media Arts Production from Emerson College, where she minored in Public Health and Society and first developed her interest in determinants of health research. With research interests ranging from queer and trans health to U.S. drug policy and environmental racism, she is passionate about investigating the social, economic, cultural, and historical factors that impact community health both locally and systemically. Outside of school and work, Allison enjoys spending time in New York City's parks, reading, watching documentaries, baking, and spending lots of time with her sweet cat, Dolly.
